Details: Please join us for lunch and compelling discussion with a member of our 2015-2016 class of fellows as she presents her findings and research at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington.
On April 6, 2016 Library fellow Amy Hudson Henderson will discuss the results of her research topic, “George and Martha Washington’s Material World: Chinese Porcelain, French Chairs, and the Creation of Historical Memory.”
Amy Hudson Henderson is an art historian and museum consultant whose work focuses on gender, politics, and material culture in the early republic. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and is currently revising her dissertation, “Furnishing the Republican Court: Building and Decorating Philadelphia Homes, 1790-1800,” for publication.
