Details: Join us for the premiere of our Classic Film Series at East Hampton’s Guild Hall as we screen highlights from the New-York Historical Society’s film series, featuring complementary remarks by, and Q&A with, notable directors, writers, and actors.

Celebrate the 75th anniversary of The Maltese Falcon, the first classic film noir, in which Humphrey Bogart stars as a private eye caught up in the frantic search for a coveted falcon statuette. Directed by John Huston. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor. 100 min.

Remarks: Ron Simon is Curator of Television and Radio at the Paley Center for Media and an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University, New York University, and Hunter College, where he teaches courses on the history of media. Dale Gregory is Vice President for Public Programs at the New-York Historical Society.
