Details: The New York Times best-selling author will speak about her latest book, The Invention of Nature, which was named by the New York Times as one of The 10 Best Books of 2015. Invention reveals the extraordinary life of German naturalist Alexander von Humboldt (1769– 1859), who corresponded with Jefferson for 21 years.
Wulf also authored The Brother Gardeners, winner of the American Horticultural Society 2010 Book Award, and Founding Gardeners: How the Revolutionary Generation Created an American Eden. Informal tours of the gardens will be offered prior to the event.
