Details: This exploration of the Saunders-Monticello Trail Fruit and Nut Room will answer your questions about which berries, nuts, and other fruits are edible. Learn about their histories and ways to prepare some of the many native varieties in Albemarle County. Trail Ranger Jerry Therrien and Monticello Vegetable Gardener and foraging epicure Pat Brodowski will share their knowledge and present a tasting of such wild delights as sumac pie and acorn flour cookies.
