Details: Cottage Conversations offers relaxing evenings to socialize and learn something new about our 16th president from authors, collectors, and artists. The program begins with a cocktail reception, is followed by the lecture, and concludes with a book signing.
Harold Holzer, co-author of the new book A Just and Generous Nation, will discuss Lincoln’s beliefs and policies on economic rights and opportunity. Mr. Holzer, winner of The 2015 Gilder-Lehrman Lincoln Prize, is one of the country’s leading authorities on Abraham Lincoln and the political culture of the Civil War era. He is the Director of Hunter College’s Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute and has authored, co-authored, or edited over 50 books.
Cost: $10 for the lecture and $10 for the reception. Free for Cottage members at the $250 level or above.
