Details: Join us for an evening with one of the country’s most prominent historians, Eric Foner, discussing his illustrious career including his work on American icons such as Thomas Paine and Abraham Lincoln. In a wide-ranging conversation moderated by David M. Rubenstein, Eric Foner covers his substantial scholarship on the Civil War, slavery, and 19th-century America.

Eric Foner, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, is DeWitt Clinton Professor of History at Columbia University. David M. Rubenstein (moderator), an American philanthropist, is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The Carlyle Group.
