In a wide-ranging conversation moderated by David M. Rubenstein, Eric Foner covers his substantial scholarship on the Civil War, slavery, and 19th-century America.
Eric Foner, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, is DeWitt Clinton Professor of History at Columbia University. David M. Rubenstein (moderator), an American philanthropist, is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of The Carlyle Group.
